John and Donna Clark met as students at St. Lawrence University in l965 and married shortly after graduation. Their first jobs were at St. Lawrence, Donna as an Admissions Counselor and John as an assistant wrestling coach. John continued coaching, leading the wrestling team to an NCAA National Championship in l988, then finished out his career as Athletic Director of the University. Donna stayed at home raising their seven children, home-schooling, and later pastoring a local church. Today they are retired and devote their time to enjoying their guests, their children and their grandchildren.
The days we spent in your house were the most wonderful days for us on our business trip...we still talk and laugh about the days when we were in White Pillars. We felt really warm and free there, just like in our own home. Your kindness, your friendship, your cozy couch and bed, your delicious food, your wine, the snow and cups of hot chocolate....so many great and sweet memories. Thank you for hosting six of us again. We will definitely miss you.
