PRIVATE ISLAND

Jolly Island is an 8 acre private island in the Thousand Islands of the St. Lawrence River.  It is 1 mile from the Canadian mainland and 8 miles from US mainland of Clayton, NY.

The house sleeps 12 people with 6 bedrooms (2 bedroms each with a king, 1 bedroom with a queen, 2 bedrooms each with 2 twins, 1 bedroom with 4 twins) and 3 1/2 baths.  4-6 more guests can sleep in the large Montana canvas tent on platform with deck.  There are 360 degree views of the river, with glass doors floor to ceiling, 2 fireplaces & wood burning stove. The living room has a cathedral ceiling and large stone fireplace, all glass facing western sky and river, 42" Plasma Dirct TV with local channels and sports package.  Dining room with view of the river has table which seats 10.  Large kitchen has Aga stove, refrigerator, separate freezer, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher.  Additionally, there is a washer/dryer. hi speed internet, and electric heat.

Outdoors there are 2 large decks (front/sunset, back sunrise)  with outdoor seating, table and grill, Har tru tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, 2 natural protected harbors, 40 ft. dock with adjoining deck, boathouse & surrounding dock with 2-30 ft. slips, 1-16 ft slip, and 2-35ft docks, swimming raft, swimming platform, and stone gazebo with 360 degree view (one of highest points on river) .  For guests' use are 2 sea kayaks, 2 sail boats (Sunfish& Laser)

Jolly Island is 1/2 mile from Potter's Beach (public beach) and 1/2 mile from site of world record muskies (40 Acre Shoals).

Power boat is not provided but boat rentals are available at www.Claytonmarina.com 

Rates for 2012:
Spring:     May 14th - June 17th     $4000 per week
Summer:  June 18th - Sept 5th      $6000 per week
Fall:         Sept 6 - Oct 15th              $5000 per week
